"Heather is a wonderfully talented, enthusiastic teacher who truly cares for her students and works with their individual strengths. Heather helped me so much with my singing technique, and I would recommend her highly to both beginners and more advanced students” – Kelly Taylor (piano teacher, accompanist, and singer)

"She's a truly great voice TEACHER, as opposed to great singers who teach, but who are not great teachers. I made more progress in 6 months with Heather’s help, than in many years of previous study. Heather helped me get out of my previously learned bad habits!" - Lauren (church cantor)

"I went to Heather's studio as a beginner with some experience singing in amateur theater groups. I was self-conscious of my singing and had plenty of bad habits when using my voice. Heather provides a really encouraging environment that is friendly, professional, and fun. She taught me techniques that were completely new to me. The techniques were effective and not overwhelming. She also taught me exercises to correct my bad habits. After just a couple of lessons with Heather, I was brave enough to sing in public, by myself. Heather kept me engaged throughout my lessons by curating songs for me that were challenging but fun. She even recorded lessons and accompaniments for me, so that I could practice at home. I highly recommend voice lessons from Heather!" - Dan (set designer, and musical theatre singer)

"My memories of singing lessons are nothing but positive. Heather has the ability to make lessons fun and freeing in so many ways. She is such an encourager and with her teaching and support my breathing, vocal range, tone, and my confidence all improved significantly. What I learnt from those lessons, I still remember and use today. Heather’s lessons set me up for a life filled with music and song" – Stacey (teacher, artist, and singer/songwriter)

“I feel that singing is an interpretation of your soul. I have always used singing as a form of self-expression and therefore have never wanted to sing in front of anyone else, with the fear that my raw expression would be judged or criticised. I can, however, hear when I am off key (which used to happen a lot!) and wanted to improve my singing ability and techniques. I knew the only way to do this was through vocal lessons.

My first lesson with Heather was FANTASTIC. She automatically made me feel relaxed and comfortable. Her down-to-earth, approachable personality eased my nerves and I felt calm within minutes. Starting with great warm up exercises we were into the lesson straight away. Heather’s vocal understanding and knowledge is evident from the get go. She is not only clear and concise when explaining techniques, but she can do everything she is asking you to do, so you get a visual demonstration. I found this extremely helpful as I am also a visual learner. I could hear the improvement in my voice instantly which also gave me real satisfaction.

Heather’s positive reinforcement and encouragement has kept me enthusiastic and eager to continue my vocal development. As soon as you walk into that first lesson you know that she will never forget you, and will do everything in her power to help you achieve your set goals. She values you and your individuality and wants to nurture your talent and help you grow into a better version of you! This is what I love most about Heather’s teaching style. She supports you to find your own style, she does not push any rules or restrictions on to you. She allows you to choose your own music, style and create your own path. I was lucky to hit the jack pot of vocal coaches straight away and could not imagine learning from anyone else. The only negative I can find is that I did not start lessons with Heather sooner!!!” – Amy (hobby singer)

"My name is Terry Kea, and I have known Heather since 1994. I met her at Massey High School and she became my vocal coach and helped me develop and find my singing voice. Heather also introduced me to musical theatre and coached me towards competitions and Massey High School’s yearly musical production. My highlight with Heather would have to be when I received the Te Atatu Men’s Choir Award for singing "Stars" from Les Miserables. In 1996 Heather wrote and produced a musical extravaganza which was called Broadway Revue. The time, effort, and patience Heather showed was pure brilliance. I have nothing but great musical memories with Heather and I wish her all the best with her studio. Thank you Heather!!!" – Terry (hobby singer)
